Installation instructions

  1. Download and unpack "DigiTerra Explorer 7 Mobile for SD Card" ZIP file: DTEXPV7MobilePack.zip
  2. Then copy it into root of an empty SD Card; in case of updating manually your SD Card you must overwrite all existing files on it
  3. Find Autorun.exe in the "\\SD Card\2577" folder and tap on it to start the installation
  4. Wait until DigiTerra Explorer configuring itself, then press OK and follow the instructions on the screen
  5. Once the installation will be completed you may be start the application with its shortcut on the Today panel or among the Programs
That's it! You should be good to go!

Installation instructions

  1. Download "DigiTerra Explorer 7 Mobile CAB installer" CAB file: DTEXPV7MobilePack.CAB
  2. Copy it to your device either using Microsoft Active Sync or the new Windows Mobile Device Center. You can pick where you want to place it.
  3. After copying the file over to your device, open the folder, tap it with your stylus or hit the OK key and it will begin the installation process. Follow the instructions that will appear.
  4. Wait until DigiTerra Explorer configuring itself, then press OK and follow the instructions on the screen
  5. Once the installation will be completed you may be start the application with its shortcut on the Today panel or among the Programs
When manually updating the installed software, please uninstall the previous version first at Start menu > Settings > System > Remove Programs then you can install the new one. That's it! You should be good to go!

GPS Pathfinder® Tools SDK Windows Mobile component
This CAB file is used to install GPS Pathfinder Tools components for a Windows Mobile powered Trimble device running the Windows Mobile version 6 operating system or the version 5.0 software. The list of the supported Trimble devices can be found in the Reference guide. You need to install this CAB file only when DigiTerra Explorer installed from CAB file. To install components onto a Windows Mobile powered device:
  1. Copy the CAB file to the Windows Mobile powered device
  2. Run the CAB file
  3. Restart DigiTerra Explorer
The GPS Pathfinder Tools SDK components are installed and registered in the Windows folder of the device. Configuration and GeoData files are installed to the Trimble shared files folder of the device. Download
LAS, LOS files to the NADCON/HARN Datum Shift transformations for the USA
This CAB file is used to install components for the NADCON/HARN Datum Shift transformations. The shift values for a geographic area are stored in these grid files, one that represents latitude shifts (named with the extension .las) and one that represents longitude shifts (named with the extension .los). DigiTerra Explorer uses grid files in a format published and provided by the National Geodetic Survey. You need to install this CAB file only when DigiTerra Explorer installed from CAB file. To install components onto a Windows Mobile powered device:
  1. Copy the CAB file to the Windows Mobile powered device
  2. Run the CAB file
  3. Restart DigiTerra Explorer

Grid file to the OSTN02 transformation for the UK
This ZIP file is used to install component for the OSGM02 and the OSTN02 and OSi/OSNI Polynomial transformation. The shift values for the United Kingdom are stored in this grid file (named with the extension .grd). DigiTerra Explorer uses the grid file in a custom DigiTerra binary format to which all data provided by the Ordnance Survey. Once you installed this grid file DigiTerra Explorer become OSTN02, OSGM02 and OSi/OSNI Polynomial enabled. You need to install this grid file only when DigiTerra Explorer installed from CAB file. To install this component onto a Windows Mobile powered device:
  1. Unpack the ZIP file then copy the OSTN02_OSGM02_GB.GRD to the Windows Mobile powered device into the following path: My Device\Program Files\DigiTerra Explorer v7\Bin\Cordtrans
  2. Restart DigiTerra Explorer

Sample data: Maps
This ZIP file is used to install sample maps to DigiTerra Explorer installed from CAB file. The following samples can be found in this archive: Botany, Code_dictionary_example, Europe, ForestMap, GPS_Log_analysis, North-America, Raster_and_vector, Related_tables_example, Romania, Sample_City, South-America, World. To install this component onto a Windows Mobile powered device:
  1. Unpack the ZIP file then copy the folders to the Windows Mobile powered device into the following path: My Device\Program Files\DigiTerra Explorer v7\Maps\
  2. Now you can open the sample Maps with the Open Map command

Sample data: Map Templates
This ZIP file is used to install sample Map Templates to DigiTerra Explorer installed from CAB file. The following samples can be found in this archive: CodeFiltering.exp, TreeRoadField.exp and their components. To install this component onto a Windows Mobile powered device:
  1. Unpack the ZIP file then copy the unpacked files and folders to the Windows Mobile powered device into the following path: My Device\Program Files\DigiTerra Explorer v7\MapTemplates\
  2. Now you can open the sample Map Templates with the Open button under Map Templates on the New Map Options dialog box

This ZIP file is used to install additional symbol libraries to DigiTerra Explorer installed from CAB file. The following libraries can be found in this archive: symbols_ge_32.bmp, symbols_ge_64.bmp, traffic_at_32.bmp, traffic_at_64.bmp, traffic_ch_32.bmp, traffic_ch_64.bmp, traffic_de_32.bmp, traffic_de_64.bmp, traffic_hu_32.bmp, traffic_hu_64.bmp. To install this component onto a Windows Mobile powered device:
  1. Unpack the ZIP file then copy the unpacked files to the Windows Mobile powered device into the following path: My Device\Program Files\DigiTerra Explorer v7\Maps\
  2. Now you can select one of these symbol libraries at Settings > System > Symbols

Prerequisite:

Microsoft Active Sync / Mobile Device Center program installed on your PC
1. Uninstall the previous version of the software then run the installer on your desktop PC and follow the instructions. 2. Desktop version of DigiTerra Explorer 7 can be installed on unlimited number of desktop PC’s. However, you try every functions (include saving), the export, and printing functions are disabled in this free edition. That's it! You should be good to go!
